Jessica
Jessica has over 20 years of experience in the animal care industry and has been a dedicated professional groomer since 2010. A proud graduate of the Merryfield School of Grooming, she holds certifications in pet first aid and CPR, along with Master Groomer status from the NDGAA. As the lead instructor at Merryfield, she loves sharing her knowledge and passion for grooming with others.From 2011 to 2014, Jessica showcased her skills in national grooming competitions, earning 3rd place in the Terrier Group. Her experience as a veterinary technician and assistant dog trainer gives her unique insights into handling puppies and dogs with behavioral challenges. She is well-versed in all breeds, their specific coat types, and common skin issues.
When she’s not at work, Jessica cherishes quiet moments on the couch with her four dogs, enjoys hunting for Halloween decor, and loves spending quality time with her husband and friends. Among her favorite breeds are the Chinese Crested, Poodle, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Carrie
Carrie’s passion for dog grooming began in 2011 when she rescued her first Newfoundland, Miss Riley, and fell in love with caring for her long coat. After rescuing a second Newfoundland, Parker, she enrolled at the Merryfield School of Grooming, graduating in 2017. Her first competition earned her First Place in the Career Start category, marking the start of her rewarding six-year grooming career.Every year, Carrie eagerly attends the Orlando grooming show, where she engages in continuing education to enhance her skills. She takes great pride in her work, focusing on quality and ensuring a stress-free, positive experience for every dog.
Outside of The Grateful Dog, Carrie loves spending time with family and friends, enhancing her photography skills, and exploring new places.

Ninoshka (Nino)
Nino began her career in 2009 after graduating from grooming school in Puerto Rico. She is an award-winning certified groomer and the head dental technician at The Grateful Dog, specializing in non-anesthetic dental scaling. She is also registered with the IPG and NDGAA and teaches part-time at the Merryfield School of Grooming.
Nino stays current on grooming trends by attending trade shows and continuing education classes. In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, true crime podcasts, and grooming her large Goldendoodle, Kylie.
